iphone photo of Johan’s sister Frida, yesterday on top of the Empire State Building.
I’ve been meaning to post now for some weeks, but moving, working, and the fact I can’t find the cable to my camera, have prevented me from doing so. I promise I’ll soon stop singing the praises of New York, our neighborhood, and things in general, but once again, I have to say I’m really pretty happy. Every time I set foot out of our front door, I’m smiling. We made a good choice in apartments. its cozy, on a beautiful street and SO close to the city. We walk around everywhere, and find great restaurants and wine shops and cafes. Johan and I are both off this week as his family is here from Sweden. Yesterday we walked all around Manhattan. Up to the top of the Empire State Building, in midtown by the insane Citicorp building, West Village for lunch and home for takeout thai food. On wednesday poor Johan has to go to San Francisco for a couple of weeks, working nonstop the whole time and living in a hotel, but what he earns should make up for the big purchase we made a few days ago, a 40″ HD television. If a king size bed is a marriage saver, than surely a tv this big is a divorce inducer. At least, trying to get it home and set up in New York City is! Seriously though, its a pretty fantastic tv, and with the amount of movies we watch, will be very much loved in this house. But, I think I pulled a back muscle lifting one side out of the box, so now I’m in for the afternoon while Johan and his family are in Central Park. Its so cold today, and I’m really ready for some spring time, but as always, I’m in LOVE with this city!
