Last night I dreamt I was swimming the medley event with Michael Phelps. All the time before the event I was stressing and stressing that I would have to do the butterfly part. But then I found out I was doing the freestyle part, and STILL I was super stressed because I knew my arms weren’t strong enough! I think this is a clue that I need to get my butt to the gym, asap! So, on my agenda, working out and being more creative. And figuring out what the heck to do with my life.

Work is okay, been a bit competitive, I guess because its August and its slow. But budget cutbacks can be a serious threat, especially when employees seem to be expendable. I’m doing my best to stay afloat until the holiday season, and after that, I’ll really get my shit together.

Upcoming visitors are making me happy. Our friend Jamie is back (third time this year!), our good friend Conrad, Gwen and Jeremy next week, and Keith will be here in October. Its nice to see bits and pieces of home when we can. I’m thinking of making a pilgrimage sometime before November. And hopefully my folks will come to New York for Thanksgiving. I can hardly believe that the beginning of November marks a full year for us living in NY! Seems crazy how fast the time moves here.

Now its time to tandoori some chicken, to be cooked tomorrow, to be made into a (farewell) indian feast later this week.
