Dumbo love.
It’s 5.43 and I’m having the nicest day off work ever. I’m sure it helps that it’s a rare one off with my husband, and its been so peaceful. I actually woke up at 11, something virtually unheard of for me. I made us an afternoon breakfast fry up, and then we went for a walk into Dumbo to look at some furniture shops. We’re finally getting around to decorating our bedroom and investing in some serious pieces of furniture, as well as a new duvet, sheets and much much needed curtains. The wall art is up for big debate though. Then we had a nice drink at a scandinavian/italian bar/home accessories boutique. Afterwards we walked on the water and found a beautiful carousel, and walked home past the lovely old fire station houses. I don’t think I’ll ever stop being in love with my neighborhood. Unfortunately, after Gabrielle and I took a look at three open apartments in our building, I feel we could never afford to buy here. Its sad what 2 million dollars WON’T buy you.
