So, after four and a half years of marriage, Johan and I are finally going on our honeymoon! Our first attempt, shortly after marriage, failed miserably due to the INS, and we ended up using our cancelled tickets to go to Sweden the following year (on the very last date we could have used them!). But, in retrospect, I’m glad we’ve waited until now, when we can properly afford to enjoy Tokyo. Going there as poor newlyweds would have been torture! Almost every day we are adding things to our google map, and feeling so excited that we can hardly stand to wait the next month out. Which is so silly because time moves in this city like nowhere else, and October 3rd will be here before I can blink, I’m sure of it. We’ve splurged and booked the night of Johan’s 30th at the Park Hyatt, and plan to spend that day in the pool and spa, and later, drinks in the famous bar. Mostly, I just can’t wait to walk around and look at every crazy and overwhelming thing. And I’m happy we’ll take some day trips to visit shrines, and see the beautiful foliage changing colors. I’ve never been more excited to go anywhere in my whole life!
